Kris Wirata

In 2014 Kris started a custom-made sugar and clay flower business targeted at a cake decorator clientele. To improve his flower-making skills and serve his clients better, he picked up wafer paper flower making from a well-known Korean flower artist in 2017.

Kris was very impressed at how much he could do with wafer paper to improve the look and feel of his flowers. He decided to focus on exploring wafer paper flower artistry to its highest limits. He also started conducting hands-on workshops and private Zoom classes.

Last year Kris won 3 awards from Virtual Flower Competitions for his wafer paper flower creations: Silver Award in The Cake Champions 2020, Highly Commended Award in UK Cake International 2020, and Gold Award - Best in Wafer Paper Flowers Category in Cake Fiesta 2020.
